York Environment Festival 2026

Here for another year – York Environemnt Festival – a wide range of events organised mainly by local not for profit organisations..

The dates this time are Saturday 3rd October to Sunday 1st November. Watch out for the ‘call for events’ at the beginning of May. In 2026, feedback showed residants would like to take part in more ‘family-friendly’ events. Generally, everything in the programme will focus on protecting and enhancing the environment, and enlarging local activity on enviromental themes,

Each year the organising team is refreshed and new volunteers are recruited for the various role opportunities.
